It didn't happen on purpose. He chose to come early. He was due February 3rd, but we had a scheduled cesarean for February 4th. We knew we were taking a chance having the surgery a day after our due date, but we felt it would be better to have Landon and the new baby's birthday in separate months.
But...babies have an interesting way of coming when they want, on their own terms.
Immediately after singing "Happy Birthday" to Landon, I started having contractions. They were coming fast, strong, and oh-so painful. There was no doubt this baby was coming, and January 29th was the day. So, off to the hospital we went.
